The Bellingham Slam welcomed the
visiting team from across the Pacific Ocean. The Nippon Tornadoes of
the International Basketball League began their United States tour
Friday, May 10th at Whatcom Pavilion. Bellingham did their
best to show their guests what Slam basketball is all about.
Bellingham took the lead early and kept on piling up the points
throughout the game. Despite the Tornadoes energy and effort they
could not close the double-digit gap for four quarters. Final score:
